VSC GAP Ancillary Preloaded

Vehicle Service Contracts

The backbone of any F&I menu. Vehicle Service Contracts protect customers from unexpected mechanical failures after the manufacturer's warranty expires — covering parts and labor on some of the most expensive repairs a vehicle owner will ever face. A well-placed VSC is the single highest-value product you can offer, both to the customer and to your dealership's bottom line.

When managers truly understand the coverage — and can connect it to the specific customer's vehicle, driving habits, and financial exposure — VSC penetration climbs. F&IQ trains your team to present VSC as the risk-management tool it actually is, not just a line item on a menu.

  • Powertrain, stated component, and exclusionary coverage options to fit every budget
  • Nationwide service network — repairs honored at any licensed repair facility
  • Multiple term and mileage configurations for maximum menu flexibility
  • Transferable coverage that adds resale value to the vehicle
  • Backed by Old Republic, Fortegra, AmTrust, Cap Warranty, First Choice VSC, and Endurance Dealer Services

GAP — Guaranteed Asset Protection

On day one, most financed vehicles are underwater — the loan balance exceeds the vehicle's actual market value. The moment a customer drives off the lot, depreciation begins. GAP coverage pays the difference between what the insurance company pays after a total loss or theft, and what the customer still owes the lender. It's not optional protection — it's financial safety.

Without GAP, a total-loss event can leave a customer writing checks on a vehicle they no longer own — often for thousands of dollars. That is not a risk any finance manager should leave their customer exposed to. Presenting GAP is not selling — it's responsible advising.

  • Covers the deficiency balance after total loss or theft — protecting the customer from owing on a vehicle they can no longer drive
  • Works with all major lenders and financing structures
  • Both waiver-based and insurance-based GAP options available
  • Administered by Axiom Administration and AVP (Advanced Vehicle Protection — AVPClaims.com)
  • Clean, compliant disclosure process — fully integrated with the F&IQ presentation method
How GAP Works
When the worst happens — GAP has it covered.
Loan Balance at Loss $28,500
Insurance Payout (ACV) $23,000
GAP Covers the Difference $5,500

Without GAP, the customer would owe this amount out-of-pocket on a vehicle they no longer have. With GAP, they drive away free and clear.

Ancillary Products

Ancillary products fill the coverage gaps that VSC and GAP leave behind — while meaningfully increasing per-vehicle retail. Presented as a cohesive protection suite rather than individual add-ons, they help customers feel fully covered and give your managers a compelling, holistic story to tell at the menu.

The right ancillary mix is different for every store — it depends on your demographics, your vehicle mix, your climate, and your customer base. Consator builds a product matrix tailored to your dealership so every manager is presenting products that actually make sense to the customers walking through your door.

Strategy

Not every ancillary product makes sense for every market. A coastal dealer selling luxury vehicles has very different ancillary needs than a rural used-car store. Consator helps you identify which products fit your customers — and trains your managers to present them naturally as part of a complete protection story.

Preloaded Products

Preloaded products are installed on every unit in inventory and presented to every buyer as a bundled protection package at the point of sale. When structured correctly, preloaded programs improve per-vehicle gross across the board, reduce front-end negotiation friction, and simplify what your F&I manager needs to explain at the desk.

The power of a preloaded program is consistency. Every customer gets the same baseline protection package, every time — which means your F&I managers spend less time fighting for each product individually and more time building value and closing upsells. Properly disclosed preloaded products are fully compliant and highly defensible.

Why Dealers Love Preloaded Programs

  • Consistent PVR across all deals — regardless of customer negotiating style
  • Reduced negotiation friction on the front end of the deal
  • Simpler F&I menu presentation — managers present add-ons, not baseline
  • Compliant when properly disclosed on the window sticker and deal jacket
  • Builds gross into the vehicle price before the customer arrives at F&I
Compliance Note: Preloaded products must be properly disclosed on the Monroney sticker or window addendum. Consator guides dealers through compliant structuring and disclosure — protecting both the customer and the dealership.

Our Approach

Why Our Product Matrix Works

We don't drop a generic product menu on your desk and call it a day. The Consator approach is built around your store — your volume, your customers, and your goals.

A-Rated Carriers Only

Every product in the Consator portfolio is underwritten by financially strong, A-rated insurance carriers. Your customers are submitting real claims on these products — they need to know those claims will be paid. Your reputation depends on it, and we take that seriously.

Carrier Standards We Maintain

Custom Product Matrix

We build a product menu tailored to your store's demographics, volume, vehicle mix, and DMS — not a one-size-fits-all approach that ignores the reality of your market. Every product we recommend should make sense for the customers you actually serve, not a hypothetical average buyer.
